More Choreography!

In today’s rehearsal we worked on the following dances:

Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!

I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do

And did some more character prep by answering the following prompts:

How old is your character?

What is their job?

Where are they from?

Why are they on the island/What brought them here?

Are they connected to the wedding through the bride or groom?

Pick any character in the show that your character is close with (Donna+Dynamos and
Bridesmaids/Groomsmen pick someone other than given friend)

Pick any character in the show that your character has conflict with

Pick any character in the show that your character has secret feelings for (Annoyance, a crush,
etc.)

What are your character’s dreams/aspirations?

What are three words your character would use to describe themselves?

What are three words someone else would use to describe your character?

What is your character’s saddest memory? Happiest?

What is your character afraid of?

What are two things your character knows themselves to be very good at?

What would your character’s anthem be?

Make sure you have explored all of these questions and would be able to answer them to Jamie
by Monday

The filmed choreography for today’s dances can be found in the same shared folder as
yesterday’s, linked again here

Even if (especially if) you were gone today it is important that you familiarize yourself with
today’s choreography and complete the given character preparation. It may be helpful to practice
the dances with someone/s who were at today’s rehearsal. EVERYONE should continue to
practice their choreography and music and explore their characters at home. There is a lot to do
and very little time to do it so everyone needs to fully buy into the show so we can make it as
great as it can be. (Which, judging from our rehearsals so far, is pretty darn great!)

Lastly, the schedule for next week will be posted here as soon as it is complete, no later than
Sunday afternoon, so keep a lookout and don’t make any plans you can’t change.
